21Shares head of strategy: US can increase reserves by "confiscating bitcoins from crime" and "buying bitcoins with fines"
On March 7, according to 21Shares' head of strategy Eliezer Ndinga, he said on social media that he believes there are two ways for the US government to increase its bitcoin reserves. The first is to confiscate the bitcoins obtained by crime, such as the 174,000 bitcoins in the Silk Road case, without new expenses; the second is to reuse the fines levied by cryptocurrency enforcement agencies (such as the Securities Exchange Commission/Commodity Futures Trading Commission) to buy bitcoins.
