Ministry of Commerce: China urges the US to correct its wrong practices, view and deal with its own fentanyl issue objectively and rationally, and not blindly "throw the blame"

On March 7, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that the recently released white paper "China's fentanyl-like substance control" provides a comprehensive and in-depth introduction to China's fentanyl-like substance control stance, measures and results to people from all walks of life and the international community. China has currently listed five fentanyl-like substance precursors, including 4-ANPP, NPP, and 4-AP, as precursors to drug production. In terms of export management, according to relevant laws and regulations, the Ministry of Commerce, in conjunction with the Ministry of Public Security, has implemented strict export license approval and international verification for precursors, including the above five fentanyl-like substance precursors. The white paper fully states that the US's imposition of a 20% tariff on Chinese products on the grounds of fentanyl is groundless and a typical act of protectionism, unilateralism and bullying. China urges the US to correct its wrong practices, view and deal with its own fentanyl issue objectively and rationally, and not blindly "throw the blame on the blame".
