President Trump has signed an executive order establishing a White House task force on the 2026 World Cup. In June 2018, at the 68th FIFA General Assembly, after a vote of 203 FIFA member associations eligible to vote on the spot, Canada, Mexico, and the United States finally defeated Morocco by 134:65 votes to win the joint hosting rights of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
