The report claims that by 2025, only 4% of the world's population will own bitcoin

At present, only 4% of the world's population owns Bitcoin, with the United States having the highest concentration of holdings, with an estimated 14% of individuals owning BTC. According to a research report by BTC financial services firm River, North America remains the continent with the highest rate of individual and institutional adoption, while Africa currently has the lowest rate at just 1.6%. Overall, BTC tends to have a higher adoption rate in developed regions than in developing regions. River estimates that BTC has only achieved 3% of its maximum adoption potential - indicating that the digital currency is still in the early stages of global adoption.
