The three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed up, with the Dow up 0.13%, the Nasdaq up 0.83%, the S & P 500 up 0.27%, and most popular technology stocks rose. Tesla rose more than 6%, Apple rose nearly 3%, and Microsoft and Amazon rose more than 2%.
