According to ZachXBT, a highly credible Tornado Cash asset theft investigation revealed that on March 11, 2025, after using Tornado Cash to complete the mixing of coins, North Korean hackers used some ETH funds to buy 437.60 billion PEPE, worth 3.10 million US dollars. More detailed analysis shows that North Korean hackers used the problematic Tornado Cash user interface to experience asset theft.
Previously, according to Lookonchain monitoring, three wallets bought a large amount of 689.79B PEPE (with a total value of about 4.30 million US dollars), and their funds were all from Tornado Cash.
