According to the Data for Progress survey, only 10 percent of U.S. voters want the Trump administration to increase federal funding for cryptocurrency and blockchain development. In contrast, many prioritize support for Social Security (65 percent), Medicare (64 percent), and infrastructure building (64 percent).
President Trump's order to create a strategic cryptocurrency reserve funded by confiscated bitcoins has sparked widespread debate, with 51 per cent of voters opposed, but views are divided across party lines.
The poll also showed that voters were less enthusiastic about increasing federal funding for artificial intelligence research, with just 20 percent supporting an increase. Meanwhile, Democratic-backed programs, such as public education and Medicare, have received strong support.
