Tencent Cloud plans to invest more than $650 million to expand its global infrastructure in the Middle East and South East Asia. The announcement was made at the Tencent Cloud City Summit in Shanghai on March 19. Tencent Cloud will build its first data center in Saudi Arabia with an investment of more than $150 million, said Tang Daosheng, CEO of Tencent Cloud and Smart Industry Group. In addition, Tencent Cloud will invest $500 million to build a third data center in Indonesia.
