NVIDIA will establish an accelerated quantum computing research center
NVIDIA announced on March 18 that it is establishing a research center in Boston to provide cutting-edge technologies to advance the development of quantum computing. The NVIDIA Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) will integrate leading quantum hardware with AI supercomputers to enable accelerated quantum supercomputing. NVAQC helps solve some of the most challenging problems in quantum computing, ranging from qubit noise to turning experimental quantum processors into practical devices. Leading innovators in quantum computing, such as Quantinuum, Quantum Machines, and QuEra Computing, will partner with NVAQC to advance quantum technologies through deep collaboration with researchers at top academic institutions such as the Harvard Quantum Initiative (HQI) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Engineered Quantum Systems Group (EQuS).
