Web3 Foundation CEO: Polka has invested too much in low-return-on-investment activities in recent months
On today's X Space, Web3 Foundation CEO Fabi addressed the community's concerns about Polkadot's vaults, saying that the deployment of capital in the Polkadot Polkadot ecosystem is made up of different entities, primarily on-chain vaults and foundations, which fund less high-profile projects, while vaults should support more forward-looking and high-profile initiatives. Vaults have invested heavily in critical infrastructure, but have spent too much on low-ROI activities in recent months.
@Seunlanlege said that Polka is a developer platform and should invest heavily in developer funding, hackathons, and related programs. Like Nvidia, Polka should invest in developers and tools rather than sports sponsorships or other marketing activities. For new projects and pilot projects, early financing is crucial because outside investors are less likely to support the team without initial support. Marketing should focus more on developers than retail users.
