A16z Crypto Investor: Zero Knowledge (ZK) Technology Is Seriously Undervalued
A16z Crypto investor Guy Wuollet said on social media that Zero Knowledge (ZK) technology is seriously undervalued and discussed its huge potential in cryptocurrencies and developer tools. Wuollet pointed out that ZK technology promises to bring a series of innovative applications by analogy to the success of iPhone.
He mentioned that the success of iPhone lies in the combination of programmable mobile computers, GPS, and high-quality cameras, which has spawned applications such as Instagram and Uber. Likewise, ZK technology, especially zkVMs (such as Jolt), could bring about similar revolutionary changes. DeFi protocols should adopt risk modeling in ZK and use more complex pricing functions. In addition, blockchain and ZK proof can enable people to have censorship-resistant AI significant others, and be used to prove simple machine learning models.
Wuollet concluded that ZK technology can be used to build more complex DeFi protocols, significant other censorship-resistant AI, or on-chain machine learning, calling on developers to pay attention to this emerging field.
