Golden Ten Futures, June 7th, the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued a notice of the "Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in the Steel Industry". Continue to implement crude steel output control in 2024. By the end of 2025, the steel industry's energy efficiency benchmark level above the production capacity accounted for 30%, energy efficiency benchmark level below the capacity to complete technical transformation or phase out. Key areas of air pollution prevention and control should further improve the steel industry's energy consumption, environmental protection, quality, safety, technology and other requirements, and gradually phase out restricted processes and equipment. By the end of 2025, the utilization of scrap steel will reach 300 million tons, and the proportion of electric furnace steel output in total crude steel output will strive to increase to 15%.
