US police: Trump was not hit by a bullet, but by a shard of glass
After the shooting at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, former US President Donald Trump tweeted on his social media platforms that he had been shot in the upper right ear and felt like a bullet had gone through his skin. But the condition of the gunman was not immediately clear. Pennsylvania police previously said Trump was not hit by a bullet, but by shards of glass. The shards are said to have come from a teleprompter that was hit by a bullet.
Local prosecutors said the gunman fired as many as eight rounds from an AR-style rifle from a building next to the rally, about 180 to 275 meters (200 to 300 yards) from Trump.
