Singapore Terrorism Threat Assessment Report: Terrorist Organizations Still Prefer Cash Over Cryptocurrencies
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Domestic Security Division (ISD) of Singapore has released the "Singapore Terrorism Threat Assessment Report 2024", noting that the prominent threat of terrorism to the country has increased due to global instability, and various Islamic terrorist organizations are increasingly using cryptocurrencies to raise funds for terrorist activities. However, while the use of cryptocurrencies is increasing, the main means by which the "Islamic State" and its affiliates conduct financial transactions remains cash.
