YouTube appeared fake Musk "double money" scam, fraud $28,000 crypto assets in three days
In the past three days, a "double money" scam impersonating Elon Musk has appeared on YouTube.
The scam disguised itself as an official Bitcoin 2024 live broadcast, tricking users into sending their crypto assets.
The artificial intelligence-generated fake Musk livestream was active over the weekend, amassing more than $28,000 in Bitcoin, ETH and Dogecoin in just one specific video. The scam follows a typical "double your money" scheme that lures users into sending any amount of Bitcoin, ETH, Dogecoin or USDT, promising to receive twice the amount sent.
