Survey: Women earn more than men in the crypto industry
According to Pantera Capital's Salary Survey, women earn 15% more than men in the crypto industry. This is a bright spot in the crypto industry, and it stands out when compared to the 84% that women typically earn in traditional industries. According to the survey, women in the crypto industry are generally more experienced, often in mid-level to senior positions, with more than five years of experience in the majority. Although the experience factor is controlled, women still earn more, probably because they have overcome more obstacles within the industry and shown higher resilience and ability.
In addition, other theories such as men earning less than women or women being more risk-averse do not fit the data. The crypto industry's reversal of the wage gap may suggest that it offers better opportunities for women, signalling the potential for this emerging field to move towards greater gender equality.
