OpenAI has partnered with Time magazine to train ChatGPT with its content
On Thursday local time, Time magazine and OpenAI announced that the two companies have entered into a multi-year content licensing agreement and strategic partnership. The agreement allows OpenAI to bring the publisher's content to ChatGPT and help train its state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) models. According to the press release, OpenAI will have access to Time's archives and articles over the past 100 years through the deal to train its AI models and use them in its consumer-facing products, such as ChatGPT, to respond to user inquiries. OpenAI will cite and link to the original source when using Time magazine's content. As part of the agreement, Time magazine will have access to OpenAI's technology in order to "develop new products" for its audience.
