According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, the American coffee company Compass Coffee has used Bitcoin to complete the international purchase of Salvadoran coffee. Jorge Cruz, the Salvadoran counterparty to the transaction, explained that he received the payment in less than 10 minutes, thus avoiding the need for intermediaries in such transactions.
