According to calculations published on the Florida State University website, more than 43.30 million U.S. citizens have voted early in the upcoming presidential election on November 5, with 21.90 million voting in person and 21.40 million voting by mail. The state with the largest number of early voters was Texas, with about 5.40 million. Florida came in second with 4.60 million and California came in third with 4.20 million.
