A US judge has annulled the sentence of a former Celsius executive after Alex Mashinsky pleaded guilty
Roni Cohen-Pavon, the former chief revenue officer of crypto lending platform Celsius, will not be sentenced on December 11 after former CEO Alex Mashinsky reached a plea deal with U.S. prosecutors.
In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge John Koeltl granted U.S. Attorney Damian Williams' request to cancel Roni Cohen-Pavon's sentencing hearing until after Alex Mashinsky's sentencing hearing, which was scheduled for April 2025. Williams said Cohen-Pavon provided information "that may be relevant to Mashinsky's sentencing hearing."
Roni Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty to US criminal charges in 2023 and has been released on bail to travel to Israel.
