SoftBank plans to invest $100 billion in the United States to support AI and related infrastructure development

According to CNBC, SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son will visit US President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate on Monday and will announce $100 billion investment in the US over the next four years. Sources revealed that Masayoshi Son will also promise to create 100,000 jobs focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and related infrastructure, with funding to be deployed by the end of Trump's term. The funding could reportedly come from various sources controlled by SoftBank, including the Vision Fund, capital projects or chipmaker Arm Holdings (ARM.US).
