On December 17th, on-chain analyst ZachXBT disclosed that the LastPass attacker launched an attack on more than 40 victim addresses and stole a total of about 5.36 million US dollars in crypto assets. The attacker then exchanged the stolen funds for ETH and transferred the assets across the chain from the Ethereum network to the Bitcoin network through multiple Instant Exchanges in an attempt to cover up the flow of funds.
