The Coinbase bitcoin premium turned positive for the first time since December 17, 2024, in a sign of rising demand for bitcoin from US investors, according to analysis by CryptoQuant. "US investor behaviour has been a leading indicator of the cryptocurrency market since the US approved the spot bitcoin ETF," said CryptoQuant analyst Burak Kesmeci. "The data suggests that the shift in US investor behaviour towards buying pressure is again dominant." In addition, the analyst added that Bitcoin recently broke through the $100,000 mark, helped by the easing of miner selling pressure and the improvement of miner profitability.
