BNB Chain launches counter-malicious MEV proposal
On February 7th, in order to combat malicious MEV behavior, BNB Chain launched a community governance proposal, calling on block builders, RPC nodes, validators and DApps to jointly prevent "clip" attacks. The proposal advocates: remove bad actors - cut off the authority of malicious block builders; vote out validators who condone such behavior. At the same time, the memory pool will be upgraded in 2025 to prevent transactions from rushing.
Currently, BNB Chain has partnered with top wallets such as Trust, Binance Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Mathwallet to enable MEV protection for users to prevent sandwich attacks. The proposal is soliciting community votes and encourages users to actively report MEV attackers and avoid using insecure RPCs.
