The three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed up, with the Dow up 0.52%, the Nasdaq up 0.7%, the S & P 500 up 0.55%, and most large technology stocks rose. Broadcom rose more than 8%, Nvidia rose nearly 2%, and Apple rose more than 1%.
