Musk's xAI purchases land in Memphis to support data center business
On March 8, according to a statement released by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce in Tennessee on March 7 local time, Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI has purchased a 1 million-square-foot property in southwest Memphis, which is another expansion move after announcing the expansion of the supercomputer "Colossus" in the city in December. The statement said that the new facility will complement xAI's existing business and support the company's expansion in Memphis. The Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce said that the "Colossus" of supercomputing is moving towards the "super cluster scale" announced by xAI last December.
