Coinbase has been approved to offer digital asset trading in India
Coinbase has been approved to offer digital asset trading in India, bringing it one step closer to re-entering one of the world's largest cryptocurrency markets. A representative of the exchange said in a statement on Tuesday that it aims to launch a cryptocurrency trading service in India later this year. Coinbase first took root in India in 2022 but withdrew from the Indian market a year later due to regulatory hurdles.
"India's developer community and entrepreneurial dynamism is unparalleled," John O'Loghlen, managing director of Coinbase Asia Pacific, said in a statement.
