The three major US stock indexes collectively closed up, with the Dow up 0.85%, the Nasdaq up 0.31%, the S & P 500 up 0.64%, popular technology stocks rose and fell, Intel rose nearly 7%, AMD rose more than 3%, Tesla fell more than 4%, and NVIDIA and Amazon fell more than 1%.
