Starknet is about to launch the STRK Staking V2 voting, and plans to launch the testnet in a few weeks
On March 20th, Starknet announced that the official voting for STRK Staking V2 will be launched at 0:00 am on March 21st. This upgrade is designed to allow validators to scale from running full nodes and monitoring the network to sending block proofs to evaluate their activity, laying the foundation for the consensus role planned for the end of 2025. At the same time, the proposal also introduces a transparent commission adjustment function to optimize economic incentives.
The upgrade will go live on the testnet in the coming weeks, with the mainnet planned for the second quarter of 2025.
Previously, it was reported that the second phase of Starknet: STRK Pledge would be launched as early as Q2 2025.
