Department of Justice Seizes $200,000 Crypto Assets Linked to Hamas

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the seizure of about $200,000 in cryptocurrency as part of a crackdown on Hamas financing networks. The DOJ noted that the funds were USDT and originated from wallets associated with Hamas and its affiliates. Since October 2024, these addresses have received more than $1.50 million in cryptocurrency, behind an organized fundraising operation. The funds were centralized into a main wallet and moved through multiple exchanges and over the counter in an attempt to disguise the flow of funds.
