On July 18, Reddit announced that it will stop supporting its Polygon-based Collectible Expressions feature on August 5, 2024. The feature provides animated emoticons for users' Collectible Avatars NFTs. Reddit said that while the animations can still be seen in past comments, they will no longer be available in the future. Collectible Avatars is a Polygon blockchain-based NFT series that has been wildly popular since its launch. As of now, more than 33 million Collectible Avatars have been minted, with a market cap of $43 million. Reddit plans to continue supporting its NFT ecosystem with new community partnerships and more events.
