Trump signs executive order seeking to scale back more federal agencies

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday aimed at reducing the size of eight federal agencies as part of his drive to reduce the size of the US government, according to Golden Ten Data. The action eliminated non-statutory functions for the entities and reduced other functions described as "unnecessary" in the White House fact sheet. Among the groups affected are the Federal Arbitration and Mediation Service, the US Global Media Agency, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Institute for Museum and Library Services, the Inter-Agency Council on Homelessness in America, the Financial Institutions Group Fund for Community Development, the Minority Business Development Authority and the Council on Arctic Studies.
