Robinhood Launches Prediction Market Hub to Support Federal Reserve Interest Rates and Sporting Event Contract Trading
On March 17, according to an official announcement by Robinhood, its Robinhood Derivatives, LLC (RHD) today launched the Prediction Markets Hub within the Robinhood App, allowing users to trade forecast contracts such as the Federal Reserve's interest rate cap in May and the NCAA basketball tournament. The service is provided through the CFTC-regulated KalshiEX exchange, and Robinhood has been in close communication with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to ensure compliance. According to the official, the prediction market plays an important role in the fields of news, economics, politics and culture, and the new platform will enhance market liquidity, transparency and price discovery capabilities. The feature will be available to eligible US users in the coming days.
