Texas judge: YouTube blogger Coffeezilla should not shy away from lawsuit filed by Internet celebrity Logan Paul over CryptoZoo
A Texas district judge has said that influencer Logan Paul should be allowed to proceed with a lawsuit accusing a YouTuber called "Coffeezilla" of making defamatory remarks about Paul's failed CryptoZoo project.
In a report filed in federal court in San Antonio on March 26, Justice of the Peace Henry Bemporad recommended that Orlando Garcia, the federal judge overseeing the case, dismiss Stephen Findeisen's request to dismiss Paul's lawsuit because Findeisen was making claims more akin to fact than "pure opinion."
"Bemporad wrote:" At the plea stage, the plaintiff [Paul] has sufficiently argued that the statements at issue in this case have a reasonable defamatory meaning and are not unactionable views.
